Featured album of the week: "May Your Kindness Remain" by Courtney Marie Andrews

Courtney Marie Andrews is a 27-year-old from Phoenix, Arizona whose latest album, May Your Kindness Remain, comes out today via Fat Possum Records, Mama Bird Recording Company, and Loose Music. Since the release of her first album, Urban Myths at age 17, Andrews recorded backup vocals for Jimmy Eat World and released four of her own albums, includes todays. 2016’s Honest Life was a breakthrough of sorts for Andrews, bringing her brand of country/folk and her gorgeous singing voice to a much wider audience.

The album was produced by Mark Howard, who has worked with a lot of great artists, including Townes Van Zandt, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel, REM, and Emmylou Harris.

The release of the album was preceded by the release of three songs, “May Your Kindness Remain”, “Kindness of Strangers”, and “I’ve Hurt Worse.” The entire set of 10 songs is possibly even stronger than her last, and if you don’t want to give it a try, at least listen to the fantastic title track.

Other albums in stores today that we’re listening to:

George Ezra – Staying at Tamara’s
Field Report – Summertime Songs
Guided By Voices – Space Gun
Jack White – Boarding House Reach
