Happy birthday, America. In 2010, Katy Perry’s third album, Teenage Dream, spawned seven successful singles, including the third, “Firework.” The song that accompanied Hillary Clinton’s acceptation of the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in 2016 and closed out Perry’s set at the 2015 Super Bowl was written by Perry, Mikkel S. Eriksen, Tor Erik Hermansen, Sandy Wilhelm, and Ester Dean. It also may have been written by Titus Andromedon.
