This week's featured album: "Golden Hour" by Kacey Musgraves

Since her 2015 album, Pageant Material, Kacey Musgraves has gotten married – to fellow country singer-songwriter Ruston Kelly – and she says that can be felt on her newest, Golden Hour, out today. The Texas-born singer’s third album is 13 tracks long, including singles “Space Cowboy” and “Butterflies”.

While Musgraves has a writing credit on every song on the album, some of her co-writers include Natalie Hemby, who has also written with Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town, in addition to her own solo music; Shane McAnally, who has written with Thomas Rhett, Brandy Clark, and Keith Urban; and Trent Dabbs, who has written with Joy Williams of The Civil Wars, Ingrid Michaelson, and David Archuletta.

Musgraves is a leading figure in country music, bringing strong songwriting and depth to the Nashville airwaves. It was evident from her breakout debut, Same Trailer, Different Park in 2013 and her critically acclaimed follow-up, Pageant Material in 2015. Golden Hour is a strong addition to her repertoire.
