- Neko Case has released a second song from her upcoming album, Hell-On, out June 1. “Curse of the I-5 Corridor” follows the albums title track and features vocals from Mark Lanegan.
- Modest Mouse has announced an extension of their current tour. Though there were no dates added in Philadelphia, there are shows set for Atlantic City and Asbury Park.
- Three of our favorites, Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile, and Margo Price (pictured), have all been nominated in multiple of the Americana Music Association Awards six categories. They all received nods for artist of the year, song of the year, and album of the year, and somehow Isbell is nominated as artist of the year and group of the year with backing band The 400 Unit. Some other favorites include Tyler Childers and Courtney Marie Andrews as emerging artist of the year and John Prine as artist of the year.
- Philly’s own Low Cut Connie’s new album, Dirty Pictures Part 2, a follow-up to last year’s Part 1, is out later this week, but is streaming now on NPR’s First Listen.
