- Here’s a wild collection of things: there’s a new Celine Dion song written for Deadpool 2 and now there’s a music video for the song featuring Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. Deadpool 2 will be in theaters May 18.
- Although it’s been officially announced that there will be no singles released prior to the Arctic Monkeys’ sixth album, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, the band played four songs from the album at their first live show of 2018 in San Diego last night. Clips from the show are on this fan instagram and elsewhere on Youtube.
- Since her debut release last year, en extended play titled Something American, I’ve been eagerly awaiting news of a full-length album from 20-year-old British singer-songwriter Jade Bird. Nothing yet, but here she is performing a song, “If I Die,” that has yet to be released live in the studio at KCRW in Santa Monica.
- Paste Magazine has a list of “15 New York City bands you need to know in 2018.” There’s some good stuff on there, plus some stuff I haven’t heard of yet.
