- Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit have announced a live record, collecting songs from his five-show run at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville last October. Live From the Ryman is available for pre-order now and will be released this October. They’ve also announced six shows there again this October.
- For some reason, I resisted listening to Hozier when his debut album came out in 2014, but I’ve since come around hard and have been impatient for more. He recently announced some new tour dates and World Cafe’s Talia Schlanger called him to ask if that meant new music soon. He said there’s a song called “Wasteland, Baby!” and that “we’ll be releasing some new music, but the album won’t be far away, it’s just around the corner.”
- If you don’t want to read through this block of text that Butch Walker posted on Instagram yesterday, let me sum up: he’s started recording his new record, is producing albums for Matt Nathansan, Rob Thomas, and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, and has a tour starting in September.
