- Here’s Houndmouth’s new single, “Modern Love,” the second song released from their upcoming third album, Golden Age, slated for August 3.
- Cary Ann Hearst on recording the new Shovels and Rope album: “This is the first time we’ve recorded in our own studio space where we’re not sharing anything with anybody else, and it’s an entirely new recording experience where we’ve got the time and the songs. It’s the best situation we’ve ever had to make a record. It’s the most comfortable experience.” The band has also just announced Predecessors, a three LP set featuring one of Cary Ann’s solo albums, one of husband Michael Trent’s solo albums, and a third of previously unheard Shovels and Rope material.
- In conjunction with the reunion shows, The Gaslight Anthem has also released nine tracks recorded during the original sessions for their breakthrough album, The ’59 Sound. The new collection has alternate takes of six album songs, one cover, and two songs that were cut from the album, and is out today.
