Here’s the latest in music news:
- The second song from Parker Millsap’s (pictured above) upcoming Other Arrangements hit youtube yesterday, meaning we’ve now heard the album’s opening and closing tracks ahead of it’s May 4 release
- Tyler Childers’ Purgatory was one of my favorite albums to come out last year. He recently recorded a few live videos with LR Baggs for their Americana Video Sessions, including two songs from the album.
- Roseanne Cash’s contribution to the upcoming tribute album to her late father is “The Walking Wounded”, a song she co-wrote with him. In this newly released video, she walks through the area around Johnny’s childhood home in Dyess, Arkansas.
- I’d never heard of The Aces before yesterday, when they’re debut album premiered on NPR’s First Listen. They’re a four piece from Utah, and their album, When My Heart Felt Volcanic, is quite good, likened astutely by NPR as similar to HAIM and The 1975. It’s officially out April 6.
