- Lori McKenna released the first single from her ninth studio album, The Tree, earlier this month, but today the song, “People Get Old,” received an official music video, featuring McKenna making her way through a home while her bandmates play around her. The Tree is out June 20.
- Anika Pyle, formerly of Chumped and currently of Katie Ellen, has released a solo song on BandCamp called “On Self Respect” under the name nika nika.

- Scottish indie band Belle and Sebastian have announced a music festival boat cruise. Four days off the coast of Spain in 2019, during which the band will play their fourth album, 2000’s Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like A Peasant, in it’s entirety.
- Vampire Weekend announced two new shows in Ojai, California, but it’s in the comment section of the Instagram post announcing the shows that we find some details on their fourth studio album, tentatively titled Maraschino Machiatto. In response to a fan asking how far along the album was, the Vampire Weekend account said 94.5 percent, and in response to a question regarding how big it is, they responded with “sizable,” whatever that means..
