Welcome to the song of the day, where we feature a single track, whether its brand new or older than us, overlooked or overplayed, our favorite or no one’s favorite; as long as its interesting, it can be the song of the day.
I like to group songs into weird categories, and one of the smallest groups I have is ‘songs whose title is only said once in the song and its the last thing said in the song.’ It’s rare; it’s been years and I’ve basically only got “Here, There, and Everywhere” by the Beatles, “Up the Junction” by Squeeze, “Here’s Looking at You, Kid” by the Gaslight Anthem, and today’s song, “Greek Tragedy” by the Wombats.
The song was the second single from the band’s third album, Glitterbug, released in 2015 and was accompanied by this batshit crazy music video about a Wombats stalker.
