Today, Weezer lead-singer Rivers Cuomo turned 48 years old. Weezer’s first album, the first of four self-titled albums, commonly referred to as the Blue Album, came out in 1994 and achieved some success for the band. The album’s three singles were “Undone – The Sweater Song,” “Buddy Holly,” and “Say It Ain’t So.” Ric Ocasek of The Cars produced the album. Cuomo wrote every song on the album, three of which feature co-writers, including “My Name Is Jonas.” Drummer Patrick Wilson has credits on three tracks, and guitarist Jason Cropper has a co-writing credit on Jonas, his only before leaving the band during the recording of the album.
