May the Fourth be with you! There aren’t a ton of songs associated with the Star Wars franchise, unless you count the cantina band’s awesome debut album…but luckily the very next movie in the series is out this month and features Donald Glover aka 2018’s version of a renaissance man. Glover will be playing a young Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story, coming at the end of the month. Although he’s been busy with big movies and writing a since-cancelled animated Deadpool series and also creating and starring in his own FX show, Atlanta, Glover last released music as Childish Gambino in 2016.
“Redbone” was the second single from his third album, “Awaken, My Love!” The song was nominated for three Grammy awards, including Record of the Year, which ultimately went to “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars.
