Speaking of great 21st century women songwriters, Amanda Shires’ newest album is streaming right now. To The Sunset is Shires’ sixth solo album, and features husband Jason Isbell on guitar and production by Dave Cobb.

You can also stream Memphis rock band Lucero’s upcoming 12th studio album, Among the Ghosts ahead of it’s August 3 release.

This studio version of Tenille Townes’ “Somebody’s Daughter” isn’t exactly what I was hoping for.

Earlier this year, Weezer covered Toto’s “Rosanna” and “Africa.” Apparently Toto is going to repay the favor by covering “Hash Pipe.”

The Key has wrap-ups of all the performances from this weekend’s XPoNential Music Festival on the Camden Waterfront, including headliners David Byrne, Sturgill Simpson, War on Drugs, and Sylvan Esso.

Meanwhile, Rolling Stone has their best of Newport Folk Festival Rhode Island, also this weekend.
