Music news from Death Cab, Guster, and Josh Ritter

Here’s the third single, “Autumn Love,” from Death Cab for Cutie’s upcoming ninth album, Thank You For Today:

Speaking of, Death Cab lead singer Ben Gibbard ranked his band’s albums for Noisey.

There are two new Guster songs, the first since 2015’s Evermotion. The tracks, “Hard Times” and “Don’t Go,” are the first from the band’s still untitled eighth album.

It looks like Josh Ritter’s next album is imminent, this time with Jason Isbell producing and the 400 Unit backing. We haven’t seen much from Isbell as a producer, except for some of his own music and the 2012 American Aquarium album Burn.Flicker.Die.

The newest episode of Steven Hyden’s Celebration Rock Podcast was about sleeper albums from 2018, and included some talk of Wild Pink, Flasher, and some other albums worth checking out.
