Ruston Kelly announces LP, Third Eye Blind an EP, and more news

• Country singer-songwriter Ruston Kelly has announced his debut LP, Dying Star, out September 7. So far, Kacey Musgraves’ husband has released an EP that was 10 tracks long, though basically contained only six songs, called Halloween and a live single, “Asshole,” which will not appear on Dying Star. Here’s the first single, “Jericho”:

 

• Coinciding with the release of their sixth LP, members of Dawes are currently answering questions on Reddit. Even if you’re too late, there’s still some good answers on there.

 

• Third Eye Blind has announced a covers EP, that will contain performances of songs by Bon Iver, Queens of the Stone Age, and Tim Buckley.

 

• The Matthew Logan Vasquez-led indie super-group Glorietta released its second song today, “Golden Lonesome,” following lead single, “Heatstroke,” from the upcoming self-titled album, due out August 24.
