Americana duo Shovels & Rope is currently opening for Brandi Carlile on her tour in support of her February album, By The Way, I Forgive You, and on Sunday in Louisville, they joined her and her band on stage for “Hold Out Your Hand,” a song from the album. By The Way, I Forgive You, Carlile’s sixth studio album, was co-produced by Dave Cobb and Shooter Jennings.
Shovels & Rope have released three albums under their current name, plus their debut credited to Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent. They have hinted on various social media that they are working on a fifth album now, along with an upcoming release of previously unreleased music called Predecessors.
